Puntland security forces on Friday launched an attack against Daesh fighters who are hiding in Al-Miskaad Mountain Range in Bari region.
According to Security officials, heavy casualties were inflicted on Daesh fighters.
Puntland security forces captured senior Daesh fighters, confiscated large cache of weapons and took control of strategic bases that the group established in Bari region.
The attack that Puntland security forces launched targeted Togga Miiraale which was Daesh’s biggest base.
Puntland Security Forces broke Deash’s last defense lines.
It took Puntland security forces a month to advance the strong defense line that Deash fighters set up there.
It seems now that second phase of operations in Al-Miskaad Mountain Range has come to an end while Daesh remnants are regrouping in underground cavities.
Puntland President Saed Deni is due to deliver a speech about the victory that Puntland security forces reached regarding the operations against Deash fighters.
