Kenya’s FM Raychelle Omamo on Sunday arrived in Mogadishu, Somalia’s capital to hold discussions with Somalia leaders.

Somalia’s FM Abdirisak and other officials have greeted the visiting Kenyan delegation headed up by Omamo upon arrival at Mogadishu Airport.

Kenya’s FM is expected to meet with PM Mohmed Husein Roble and will later hold bilateral talks with President Abdilahi Farmajo.

This is Omamo’s maiden trip to Somalia since she assumed at the helm.

The trip comes barely a month after Kenya lifted the ban on flights to and from Somalia.

The two countries are expected to hold talks to normalize relations.
