The Commander of the Ground Forces of Somali National Army (SNA), Sahal Abdilahi Omar, accompanied by the deputy president of Hirshabelle state, Yusuf Ahmed Hagar and other officials, went on an inspection tour to hundreds of Somali troops based in Xalfooley district which is located in the border between Hiran and Middle Shabelle region.
The objective behind the visit embarked by the Ground Forces Commander and the Vice President of Hirshabelle state was meant to to boost the moral of the Somali troops.
General Sahal has told the Somali army that they play a crucial role in the fight against terrorism and to drive out Alshabab from Somalia.
The Commander and the deputy President said that the Somali gov’t will double its ongoing efforts to stand with the allied forces.
Ma’awisley fighters in Hiran region play an active role when it comes to the ongoing operations which were aimed at driving out Alshabab from the territory.
Most of Hiran region residents are enjoying a period of peace and security after Alshabab fighters were eliminated from the area 2 years ago.
