Mogadishu–Somalia’s Finance Minister, Hon. Bihi Iman Egge, held a high level productive meeting with European Union (EU) delegation headed by its ambassador to Somalia, Ms. Karin Johansson.
The EU envoy to Somalia is accompanied by other senior officials of the EU office in Somalia.
During the meeting, the two sides held discussions focusing on reviewing the financial assistance that the EU previously provide to the Somali gov’t in which the first phase is being concluded.
The two sides also discussed the EU’s new financial support to the Somali gov’t which will last until 2027.
Somalia undertook efforts to boost the country’s economy. Somalia recently secured the cancellation of its debt.
