SL National Electoral Commission met with UK’s ambassador to Somalia, Ms. Kate Foster, who is currently paying an official visit to Hargeisa, Somaliland capital.
The meeting which took place at the headquarters of the Commission on Monday.
NEC updated UK’s top diplomat to Somalia the work it has carried out its technical tasks in preparation for upcoming parliamentary and local council polls which is slated to take place nationwide on 31st May, 2021.
Holding free and fair polls in Somaliland will be a huge step taken in the right direction since SL embraced multi party system back in 2002.
Finally, NEC thanked Kate Foster for UK’s support to Somaliland elections.
